A PRO driver who competed with S.C.M. in 2003 and 2004 is not allowed to race in the AMATEUR category.

A SPORT driver, who finished in the top 5 in 2002, 2003 and/or 2004 after racing at least 4 events is not allowed to race in the AMATEUR category.  Here are those drivers:

S.C.M. DRIVER MEMBERSHIP:

S.C.M. will not charge any membership fee.


POINTS SYSTEM IN PRO CLASSES ONLY

In each class he registers, a PRO driver receives 50 points.  To these 50 points, in the final, we will add:

1st: 50 pts, 2nd: 40 pts, 3rd: 30 pts, 4th: 20 pts.

 

NOTE :  In the final, if a driver causes a red light, he will receive 20 points and the Pay out of a 4th position.  If 2 drivers cause a red light, we will divide the total amount of the 3rd and 4th position and we will give 20 points to each driver.


 

STE-MARIE DE BEAUCE: Saturday, September 10, 2005

 

Autoroute 20, exit 312.  Follow Route 73 south, and exit at exit # 95.  Then, follow the indications to the track.  From Autoroute 20, plan about 20 minutes.

SPORT CARS & ANTIQUE CAR EXHIBITION:  9.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

 

REGISTRATION:  From 1.00 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.

 

PRACTICE: From 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. (driver must be registered).

NEW RACE SITE:  Located at 1388, Route 138, in Huntingdon

From south shore of Montreal, Highway 30 to Route 138.  Take Route 138 to 1388 in Huntingdon. 

 

From Ontario, highway 20 exit #14 to Salaberry de Valleyfield.  Follow Route 132 to Ste-Barbe.  Then take Route 202 to Huntingdon.  Then take Route 138 to 1388 in Huntingdon.

                                   

REGISTRATION:  Friday, September 23, between 3.00 and 5.00 p.m. and Saturday September 25, between 8.30 and 9.30 a.m. (possibility to register for both days).   Sunday September 25, between 8.30 and 9.30 a.m.

 

PRACTICES:  Friday, September 23, between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. .  Driver must be registered.

 

ATTENTION:  In all classes, including VINTAGE (20 years and +) and AMATEUR, the tether switch is mandatory; cleated tracks are not allowed; have a very visible number on the hood or windshield.

 

VINTAGE CLASSES:  Fan: 340, 440, 650, 800   Free Air: 340, 440, 650, 800  Liquid: 340, 440, 650, Open (1,000 c.c. maximum):  the tether switch is mandatory, cleated tracks are not allowed, must be equipped with a safe clutch guard, the snow flap must overlap the widest part of the rear tunnel opening by at least one inch on each side and the rearward movement of the snow flap must be restrained with steel cable or similar material to the frame of snowmobile.  Driver's bib number must be very visible on the machine (in the windshield is the best).

 

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:  Antique exhibition: cars, snowmobiles, motorcycles, tractors, stationary engines, flea market.

PAY OUT: each day, 100% pay back + $5,000.  (PRO:  $4,600. + SPORT Stock 600  $100. , SPORT Stock 800  $100. , SPORT Improved 600  $100. , SPORT Improved 800  $100.)

The Fremont race will be sanctioned by NORTHEAST GRASS DRAG SERIES (Mike Ouellet).  This race will be part of the S.C.M. POINTS SYSTEM IN PRO CLASSES.


The I.S.R. rules book will be available at the registration: $20.  .

 

I included I.S.R. bulletin # 04/05-018: June 29, 2005.  This bulletin will probably answer to most of your questions about new rules .

 

TRACKS:

In the   PRO classes, here is a list of track numbers which are accepted in STOCK classes :

      CAMOPLAST: 9811R, 9812R, 9813R, 9814R, 9843R, 9844R, 9845R, 9846R, 9862R, 9902R, 9926R, 9927R, 9810R, 9861R, 9904R, 9929R, 9937R, Kimpex: 04-848K. (2004-2005 I.S.R. YEARBOOK, p.32).

      The following Camoplast tracks are also accepted (see the May 21, 2004 I.S.R. bulletin): 700-9804, 700-9809, 700-9810, 700-9811, 700-98012, 700-98013, 700-9814, 700-9843, 700-9844, 700-9845, 700-9846, 700-9861, 700-9862, 700-9902, 700-9904

     

      In the SPORT  and AMATEUR categories, no traction products allowed;  the S.C.M. rule allow the use of the OEM track for the model; if a driver changes his track, he is allowed to use any commercially available rubber track but the maximum height of the lugs is 1.250 inch (1 ¼ inch).

      The installation of these tracks is allowed but no modification to the track, chassis, suspension and drive axle is allowed.

 

WEIGHT:

      In STOCK classes, the snowmobile has to meet the I.S.R. filed weight, plus 180 pounds (driver) + 18 pounds. 

 

      2005 I.S.R. weight rule in IMPROVED classes :

AMATEUR RULES:

1. Front & rear suspensions must be OEM for the model.  No tied down suspension.

2. Stock must have unmodified air box at the OEM location.  In IMPROVED, may have filters.

3. Other rules are the same as SPORT category.
